The music collections of the British Library are among the finest in the world, encompassing materials in all formats (e.g. manuscript, printed and digital editions, recordings, literature) from all periods. This blog focuses on updates and events relating to our music manuscripts and archives and our printed music collections, while updates relating to music recordings can be found on the Sound and Vision blog.
The blog is written by British Library music staff, led by Sandra Tuppen, along with guest posts from colleagues within and beyond the Library. We include updates about the material we are acquiring, processing, and researching; related projects, events, and activities; and information about reference services and resources.
